A Sort of Family and Handia awarded at the San Sebastian Film Festival

Film Factory’s titles won two special Prices at the 65th San Sebastian International Film Festival.

Last Saturday 30th September, the jury headed by John Malkovich announced its winners.

HANDIA won the San Sebastian’s Special Jury Price, the first big prize ever to go to a Basque movie in a main competition at San Sebastian.

A SORT OF FAMILY won Best Screenplay for its director Diego Lerman and María Meira.

Based on true events, HANDIA (GIANT) is a touching drama about the tough life of mid-19th century traveling circus “freaks”. See more info about the title here.
